Welcome to my world of editorial photography — where storytelling, emotion, and artistry converge through the lens.
My journey began in a high school darkroom, where I first discovered the transformative power of light, shadow, and the stories they can tell. That early fascination with visual storytelling grew into a lifelong pursuit — one that led me to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from the University of Minnesota and, ultimately, to a career spanning more than three decades.
Over the years, I’ve photographed everything from intimate portraits and athletes in motion to food, products, and cultural events. Each assignment — whether in studio or on location — is an opportunity to shape a visual narrative that resonates. My approach combines the compositional precision of fine art with the authenticity and emotion of documentary photography, creating editorial imagery that feels both refined and real.
Today, my “darkroom” is digital, but my process remains rooted in the same creative values I learned early on: patience, observation, and the pursuit of truth through light. I use mirrorless systems and Photoshop to craft images that reveal depth, character, and atmosphere — whether for magazine features, brand stories, or personal projects.
Editorial photography, at its core, is about connection — between subject and story, between viewer and emotion. My goal is to create images that not only catch the eye but also invite the audience to pause, reflect, and feel something genuine.
Thank you for visiting my portfolio. I invite you to explore a body of work that celebrates people, culture, and the beauty found in everyday moments.
