Adam Bohanan at the Turf Club
Adam Bohanan at the Turf Club — St. Paul, MN
Adam Bohanan brought a solid, soulful set to the Turf Club with a good-sized crowd on hand and a relaxed, appreciative vibe in the room. Known to many from his run on The Voice, Bohanan has clearly carried that momentum into a confident live presence.
During Season 26 of The Voice, Bohanan—then a Team Reba artist—turned heads with a powerful knockout performance of “Colors” by the Black Pumas, a moment that showcased both his range and emotional delivery. That same vocal strength was on display here, anchoring the set and keeping the audience engaged throughout.
His band was tight and supportive, locking in around him with ease. On this night, Bohanan also brought out a guest guitarist, adding another layer to the arrangements without pulling focus from the songs. The horn section was a standout—strong, punchy, and well integrated into the set.
From a photography standpoint, the night was a bit uneven. While parts of the stage were well lit, the wide areas of the stage were largely left in the dark, making it difficult to capture the keyboardist and trumpet player in any meaningful way. It didn’t take away from the music, but visually it limited what could be documented from an otherwise solid performance.
Overall, it was a good show in a classic room—strong vocals, a dependable band, and a crowd that was clearly there for it.
