Shallow Side at the Turf Club
Shallow Side – Turf Club
Shallow Side leaned into the heavier side of rock at the Turf Club, bringing thick guitar tones and a darker edge to the night.
It was a solid set. Heavy riffs, driving drums, and a frontman who knew how to command space. There were moments where the guitars locked in on those tight, chugging rhythms that make your chest vibrate in a smaller room like the Turf.
They played with conviction. That’s what stood out.
There were a few standout moments — extended instrumental sections that let the band stretch out a bit, and a couple of choruses that hit big enough to lift the energy in the room. The lighting caught the haze just right during a few songs, creating that classic hard rock silhouette look photographers love.
Not every show needs to reinvent the genre. Sometimes delivering the sound cleanly, confidently, and loud is enough.
Shallow Side did exactly that.
